The source of inspiration for the Karina Galstyan autumn winter 2014-2015 collection was the scientific research of Professor Masaru Emoto from Tokyo, who played classical music to water, then froze it, thereby obtaining various images that coincided with the same melody - thus proving that water has memory. This idea in the collection was reflected in the form of embossing on leather a print with frost patterns that form on windows in winter. Each print keeps the memory of water, which in the process of crystallization created a unique and inimitable pattern. In turn, the lines of the cut, decorative inserts and leather patches, like ice floes, make up their own special pattern.
The image of the models was inspired by the heroine of Andersen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen" Gerda, as the embodiment of purity, clarity, devotion and love.
The color scheme of the collection is restrained, shades of gray, black, white, silver, complex shades of purple and green. The fabrics are mostly natural, wool, cotton, viscose, silk.
